This is usually because the notification configuration prevents incoming call notifications from being displayed. Here are several solutions.
1. Use the in-call UI provided by the system
Uncheck option DW Contacts → Settings → In call widget → Full screen mode.
If you use Android 13 and later, you cannot set DW Contacts as the default phone application using this method.

Setup steps
- Find DW Contacts in the Application manager and open the notification options.
- Enable Incoming call notifications and its Pop on screen option.
- If the Allow full screen notifications option is included at the bottom of the notification list, it also needs to be turned on. Some phones also include an Allow background pop-ups option which should also be turned on.
- Restart the phone.
If the options cannot be modified, you may need to unset DW Contact as the default phone program first.
3. Use another app as your default phone program
- Unset DW Contacts as the default phone program
- The next time you launch DW Contacts if it requests to be set as the default phone program select Cancel in the “Default Phone Program Selection Dialog”. Then click Next.
Hi. Uncecking the full screen mode makes the phone switching to the system phone app. Have a Pixel 7a, Android 14 and use one esim and one physical sim card. The calls on the esim number doesn’t show up on the screen, I hear the ring but cannot answer it because nothing on the screen. I have the pro version of the app.

Non of solution works for me (Samsung A53).
I’m not able to answer incoming call however I can see the right screen. Moving the icon up works after 5th trials and later.
Switching to another application after several years. I was very satisfied until now and I’m really sad of this, but answer incoming call is the basic function which is expected from dialer app.

This will use the same system-provided in-call UI as the old version.
I got it to work with the turning off the full screen mode. Funny, turning it off allows it to show the incoming call in full screen.

No need to do that. Unchecking the call Widget – full screen mode does the trick.
Unfortunately I tried everything that’s mentioned and the problem still exists… I’ll have to uninstall the pro app after years of satisfied using until a solution will be found
Update:
After awful many tries outs (I didn’t want to give up on the app just yet) I did manage to unset dw as default phone program, so for now the problem is solved. I hope something more balanced will be released in futured updates. Thank you for the guide 😊
